BlackBerry Vodafone Access Denied Fix

Users on Vodafone, Voxi, Asda Mobile, Lebara or Talkmobile randomly get 'access denied' in BlackBerry Browser and 'connection failed' in Opera Mini as the default service books are incorrect. You may also get a Content Control page. BB10, Android and non-BB phones aren't affected. Here's how to fix it.

1. Install BlackBerry Desktop Software on your computer.

2. Download the Anworm service books here.

3. Connect your BB with a USB cable. If BB Desktop doesn't start automatically, start it.

4. On your BB, go to Options > Device > Advanced System Settings > Service Book.

5. Hold Alt and type sbeb. You should see 'Legacy SB Restore Enabled'. Click OK.

6. In BB Desktop, go to Device > Restore.

7. Click Change and navigate to the folder with the file in it. Click OK. You should now see the file listed in the Restore window.

8. Click the file.

9. Under Select Data to Restore, click Select Device Data and Settings and tick Service Book. If you don't do this, your BB will be wiped!

10. Click Restore then Yes.

11. Contact your carrier and ask to unblock Opera Mini without unblocking adult content.
