Write with Gemini in Google Docs

Write something new

Click in a document where you want to write something new.

	Tap where you want to insert new text.
	Tap Help me write .
	Enter a prompt describing what you want Gemini to write.
	Tap Create to preview and optionally insert the suggested text.

Rewrite or ask about something

Select what you want to rewrite or ask about.

	Select the text you want to rewrite or ask Gemini about.​
	Tap Help me write .
	Select an option, such as Summarize or Shorten.
	Enter a prompt asking Gemini to write something based on the selection.

Draft email with Gemini

Click in a Gmail compose window where you want to write something new. Or select what you want to rewrite.

	In a Compose window, tap Help me write .
	Enter your prompt and tap Create.
	Tap Recreate to generate a new suggestion.
	Tap Refine to select an option for rewriting the suggested text or to change your prompt.
	Tap Insert to add the suggestion to your email.

Create tables with Gemini in Google Sheets

Open a blank sheet. Then ask Google Workspace with Gemini to organize a table for you, based on your prompt.

	At the top, tap Ask Gemini .
	Select a prompt or create your own.
	Tap EnterInsert to add the table to your sheet.

Create images with Gemini in Google Slides

Ask Google Workspace with Gemini to create an image to insert on your current slide. 

	Tap Create image  to open the Gemini sidebar.
	Enter a prompt describing the image you want.
	Select a style, such as Photography or Watercolor.
	Tap Create to generate suggested images.
	Tap an image to add it to your slide.
