ADB has been supporting Kiribati in building fiscal stability and upgrading infrastructure since 1974, with a recent focus on transformative and climate-proof infrastructure investments in sanitation, water supply, transport, renewable energy, and health. ADB aims to enhance the country’s prospects and improve living standards in line with the objectives of the Kiribati 20-Year Vision (2016–2036).
To date, ADB has committed 65 public sector loans, grants, and technical assistance totaling $235 million to Kiribati.
