Medicine manages the virus. Compassion heals the spirit.    On this Zero Discrimination Day, we’re shining a light on people living with or at risk of HIV.     While science has turned HIV into a manageable condition, our role is to create an environment of support for them:    🔹 Inclusive healthcare: 1 in 4 still face discrimination   🔹 Supportive communities: 24% experience exclusion  🔹 Fostering self-worth: 85% feel internalised stigma, hiding their HIV status       For others to live with dignity, we must choose empathy.

    • The image has a white background with a subtle, light gray, paper-like texture. In the top left corner, there is a European Union flag. The main text features the word "Prejudice" in bold black at the top. Beneath it, on separate lines, are the phrases: "should not ruin," "our friendships," "our love," "our families," "our work bonds," and "Vital human relations." At the bottom, there is a red rectangular banner with white, bold text that reads: "Stop the Stigma." To the right of this banner, a white ribbon symbol is displayed. Scattered along the text, there is a hidden message formed by three letters written in different red fonts, subtly hinting at HIV.

As winter tightens its grip, Russia is once again attempting to freeze Ukraine into submission by targeting vital civilian energy infrastructure.     In Kyiv 🇺🇦 today, President von der Leyen demonstrated that our commitment remains as unshaken by Russian terror as the Ukrainian people.      To stabilise the energy system, we've launched a €920 million ‘Repair, Rebuild, Restart’ plan, adding to the 11,000 generators already delivered.     And we are providing €100 million for emergency energy support to help Ukraine through this winter     We are helping Ukraine resist until peace is restored on Ukraine’s terms.      #StandWithUkraine

Four years together. Unbroken and unwavering.    By standing with Ukraine against Russia’s unprovoked war, the EU secures the front lines of our shared freedom and independence. Our actions speak louder:     🟡 Financial backbone, mobilising €194.9 billion in overall support, with a new €90 billion loan secured for 2026–2027.     🔵 Restoring lifeblood, rebuilding schools and hospitals, delivering 1.5 million textbooks, and donating 380+ buses.     🟡 Healing heroes, supporting medical evacuations and providing veterans with world-class bionic prosthetics and rehabilitation.     🔵 Energy security, relocating entire power plants and delivering 11278 generators to keep the lights on.      🟡 Advancing EU accession negotiations to bring Ukraine home to the European family.     This is about our shared future.     Ukraine is Europe. Ukraine’s fight is our fight.     Tonight, the colours of Ukraine on our headquarters stand as a reminder of the courage and resilience of its people, and the enduring pain of a war that continues, after four years.       Not only as a symbol of solidarity, but as a tribute to those who have lost their lives, and a call to redouble our efforts towards a just and lasting peace.     Europe's shared values, strength, and commitment will never waver.     We #StandWithUkraine

🇺🇦 is Europe's beacon of resilience and hope. The unyielding spirit of a nation that has for four years been fighting full-scale unprovoked violence and destruction.      The flag we raise today is not only a testament of Ukraine’s fight for freedom and self-determination, it is also a symbol of a Europe that stands united in the face of aggression.      Ukraine’s cause is the cause of just peace on our whole continent. With all our gratitude and determination, together, we #StandWithUkraine.

Words shape who we are, and the cultures we build together. 💭    On International Mother Language Day, we celebrate the rich linguistic and cultural diversity that defines our Union, as well as the importance of protecting and promoting mother tongues across Europe. The EU is home to:  🌍 24 official languages  🎉 60 regional or minority languages spoken by 40 million people     And, over half of Europeans are proficient in a second language! This diversity is our strength. Multilingualism is a founding principle of our Union and part of what makes our continent so vibrant. What word from your mother tongue would you share with us? Tell us below 👇
