Think Googlebot is just a single "googlebot.exe" program we can run? In the latest episode of Search Off the Record, Martin Splitt and Gary Illyes dive deep into the reality of Google's crawling infrastructure. Key takeaways include: -- Why "Googlebot" is actually a misnomer. -- How it operates kind of as a central software-as-a-service (SaaS) used across Google products. -- The sophisticated throttling and "don't break the internet" safeguards that control crawl behavior. Weâre excited to announce a reimagined Google Trends Explore page, now featuring Gemini capabilities to make it easier for anyone to find insights, get inspired and dive deeper into a topic. The updated Explore page has a new side panel that uses Gemini capabilities to automatically identify and compare relevant trends for your area of interest. Itâs now possible to compare eight search terms at once, up from five in the previous version of the page. And starting today, you can see an expanded list of 50 top and 50 rising commonly searched with queries, helping you gather more context for your keyword research. Weâve also introduced a new, modern look with dedicated icons and colors for each term, making it easier to match the search terms to the graph at a glance. The experience is being rolled out gradually. Read the full announcement at https://lnkd.in/e5xAFRjH
